Who We Are

CrossCreek Church AI is a service of First Baptist Church of Colleyville, Texas, doing business as CrossCreek Church (“CrossCreek Church,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a nonprofit organized under the laws of Texas.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from people who use the CrossCreek Church AI chat interface (“Users” or “you”), how we use it, and what choices you have.

What We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate and maintain the chat service.

Information you provide:

• The questions and messages you type into the chat.
• Any voluntary feedback (thumbs up/down or comments).
• Optional: an email address or name if you choose to provide it (not required).

• Approximate location (general region based on IP address).
• Device and browser type.
• Date, time, and duration of your session.
• A session identifier (cookie) to maintain conversation flow.

What we do NOT collect or do:

• We do not require you to create an account.
• We do not collect payment information.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
• We do not collect unnecessary personal data.

How We Use What We Collect

Who May Review Your Messages

Your messages may be reviewed only by:

• Authorized CrossCreek Church staff or designated reviewers (for quality, safety, and system improvement).

We do not share messages with third parties except as required to operate the service or as required by law.

How Long We Keep Information

Chat interactions are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for system maintenance, quality improvement, and safety purposes, then deleted or anonymized.

CrossCreek Church AI Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CrossCreek Church AI (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service. CrossCreek Church AI is a digital interactive discipleship tool designed to assist with questions about life, faith, the Bible, and church-related topics consistent with CrossCreek Church’s beliefs and teachings. It is not a substitute for Scripture, personal prayer, conversation with a pastor or church leader, professional counseling, medical advice, legal advice, or other professional services.
2. AI Limitations. You acknowledge that:
   • Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or theologically imprecise.
   • CrossCreek Church AI is not a pastor, counselor, or replacement for the Holy Spirit or real human relationships within the church.
   • You should always test answers against Scripture and seek wise counsel from qualified people for important decisions.
3. Acceptable Use. You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, to harass others, to submit harmful or illegal content, or to attempt to misuse or reverse-engineer the system.
4. Crisis and Emergencies. CrossCreek Church AI is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or someone is in danger, immediately call 988 or 911 or contact a trusted person. Do not rely on the AI to provide real-time help or contact authorities.
5. Your Content. You retain rights to the messages you submit. You grant CrossCreek Church a limited license to process those messages solely to operate and improve the Service.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability. The Service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrossCreek Church disclaims all warranties and limits liability as set forth in the original draft.
7. Governing Law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.
8. Changes and Miscellaneous. We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement.
